Healthy elves

In an attempt to feed little mouths fresh fruit and veggies without going broke,  I often try to hit my favorite grocery store, Woodman's, between 8:30 and 9:00.  This magic window is when I can get the best produce prices.  This morning, I was favored by the "Woodman's elves."

1 ripe honeydew melon: $.79
1 ripe cantaloupe: $.79
10 oz organic herb salad mix: $1.39
10 oz organic baby greens salad mix: $.99
4 lb ripe strawberries (with a total of four berries I had to discard): $1.78

Happy mama, healthy kids: priceless.
