Breakfast of Champions

This morning I couldn't sleep (stress, I guess), so I got up early to make breakfast for the troops.  I also had to make 20-25 of *something* to take to a mother/daughter tea this morning.  So, I flipped through my tried and true old-school Betty Crocker book (the kind you can only get at used book stores).  They had a recipe for "Buttons and Bowknots", but it required biscuit baking mix, which I don't use, so I don't have.  So, instead I found my old BC stir and roll biscuit recipe, which is fast and good.  I used coconut oil (thanks, mom!) instead of olive oil.
I rolled tablespoonfuls of dough into balls and then into cinnamon-sugar ad baked them.
Currently Bri, my early riser, is devouring them with gusto, having finished off her cantalope.  I'm also going to have enough left over to take to tea.

Mission: accomplished.
